Biodiversity, climate, community & leadership
This NEWKD LEADER funded Programme ran from 2019-2022.
This programme provided participants with the necessary skills and critical analysis to participate in the planning and development of community-based biodiversity and climate adaptation projects. Participants developed a deep understanding of the converging issues that are impacting the foundations of all life on earth.
An important aspect of this programme was leadership and community participation with a broad whole systems exploration of the interconnected factors that impact biodiversity, climate, community resilience and health and wellbeing at a local and global level.
The Capacity Development enabled participants to map, audit and identify resources as they implemented practical actions to enhance biodiversity and community wellbeing while strengthening and creating local community supportive networks.
